FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How does Boxa Greens work?

You can swap out up to 3 items*. Click on ‘edit boxa’ in the shopping cart and click the ‘x’ to remove the item. What separates Boxa Greens service from the rest?
A Boxa Greens is filled with the freshest, quality, seasonal fruit and veg. We are part of a wholesale agent in Flemington Markets (A wholesale agent is responsible managing, selling and distributing fruit and veg on behalf of the farmers).
Selecting great tasting fruit and veg isn’t just based on picking what looks good, there’s an art to it. There are different varieties to choose from, knowing what region it’s travelling from and where it is in the season (beginning or end), and many more important factors. We scan the markets for what eats well, tastes amazing and is value for money. Candid relationships with our growers and farmers keeps us well informed in what to buy and when.
We are avid home cooks and know what it’s like to want a variety of fresh produce every week. To keep it interesting, we mix up the inclusions in our boxas and offer different seasonal options.
Running a busy household filled with boys, we are familiar with ever changing weekly schedules. This is why our swap system is great. If you didn’t get through carrots that week, swap them out! What to do when the household changes their love of something? For a few weeks, grapes are a big hit, then suddenly, no one wants grapes. Can you relate? Our boxas are flexible enough to add on or swap out items to suit your family’s needs.
In addition to our fresh fruit and veg box service, we also supply Fruit Gift Boxes and Fruit Hamper delivery. Suitable for corporate gifts, birthdays, thank you gifts, or as a kind gesture, our hampers and gift boxes include the freshest quality seasonal fruit and bespoke artisan products. For more details, see the various gift options we supply.
Can I choose what comes in my box?
We all have different tastes, favourite foods and cooking styles. ‘Make Your Own Boxa’* gives you the flexibility to add on the fruit and veg to suit the way you cook and eat. Select the items and fruit and veg packs from the extras produce list.
*minimum order of $55 to make your own boxa. Add eggs and ‘Bundles’, once you have met this minimum. Berry Bundles, Flavour Booster Bundle and Lunch Box Bundle.

Are you looking for inspo on what to serve this Easter weekend? Zucchini, tomatoes and potatoes feature in our weekly Boxas. Here’s a delicious Vegetable Parmigiana (inspired by @stanleytucci recipe) to play a role in your Easter spread.
.
Vegetable Parmigiana
Serves 4-6 | Prep 7 minutes | Cooking 50 mins
Ingredients
2 large potatoes (peeled, halved cut lengthwise and into half moons*
3 Zucchini, cut lengthwise into thin strips
3 large tomatoes, halved and cut into half-moons
Approx 1/2 cup olive oil
Sea salt & ground black pepper
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons fresh thyme finely chopped
2 tablespoons fresh oregano finely chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried oregano)
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary finely chopped
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan
2 clove garlic finely chopped
*Note: make sure the potatoes are cut into thin pieces (approx 2-3mm to ensure they cook through)
Ingredients
1. Preheat the grill to medium/high heat
2. Line a large baking tray and layout the zucchini and potatoes. Coat with a drizzle of olive oil and season with salt.
3. Grill them for approximately 3-5 minutes or until the zucchini starts to colour. This process will evaporate some of the excess water from the veg, so they don’t go soggy. If you don’t have a grill, you could do this step in a fry pan.
4. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees
5. Combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan, chopped garlic, pinch of salt, pepper and chopped herbs. For a quick option, place all the items in a food processor and whizz til combined.
.
See the caption for the remainder of the recipe. Taking orders for market fresh quality fruit and veg on Tuesday and Thursday pick up and delivery. Set yourself up for Easter with the best quality produce.

STOP throwing away strawberries who’ve suffered with a bit of sunburn, rain or frostbite! Instead SAVE this post and try some of these options to reduce waste and use them up.
.
1. Smoothies: Wash the strawberries in a bowl of water, sprinkle with bi-carb Soda and allow them to sit for a few minutes before rinsing. Hull (remove the green stalk) and cut off any soft bits. Place in a container and freeze. Use them to make a smoothie bowl or add to a smoothie with coconut water and other berries.
.
2. Strawberry sauce: add approx 2 cups of strawberries to a pot with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of honey. Bring this to a boil, then lower the heat so it simmers for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Transfer to a blender and blitz until smooth. Refrigerate the sauce for 10 days or can be frozen for 6 months. Add on pancakes, pour over a butter cake, or over vanilla ice cream.
.
3. Strawberry Tart: thaw out a sheet of puff pastry. Cut into square quarters. Leaving a 1cm edge, layer sliced strawberries over each other to cover the square (leaving a border). Repeat with the other squares. Brush the edges with egg wash. Add to a lined tray and Bake in 180 degrees for 20-30 minutes or until golden. Sprinkle with icing sugar to serve.
